A wedding party in the UK was disrupted – let’s use a nice term here – by the police after they seized a Lamborghini Huracán Performante Spyder.

The car was being used for the wedding and, unfortunately for the couple, the past tense is pretty accurate on this occasion.

The law was not on their side, and the supercar was impounded.

And the reason was surprisingly obvious.

Here’s what happened

This couple – or rather the Lambo – was in the worst possible place at the worst possible time.

A wedding party in the UK was using a Lamborghini Huracán Performante Spyder that ended up being impounded by the police.

Traffic officers pulled over the car and found an anomaly that gave them the authority to seize the vehicle.

There were two things wrong with it, and one was the ultimate deal-breaker.

Unfortunately for the couple and everyone else involved, the Lambo didn’t make it to the wedding; it ended up on a tow truck flatbed instead.

The reason why police were legally allowed to seize this Lamborghini Huracán Performante Spyder

However, the second issue was the deal-breaker.

As it turns out, the supercar didn’t have the correct insurance.

Under UK law, police have the authority to immediately seize vehicles being driven without insurance, which they did.

This is going to cost whoever rented this supercar a lot of money.

Aside from the fine, there will be hefty recover fees to get the car back from the impound lot, and the deposit is also likely lost.

And, more importantly, they lost the ride for the wedding,
