A new, modern Pope requires new, modern solutions, so Pope Leo XIV has been given two electric Popemobiles that can be transported by air as he travels.

We say Popemobiles because they really are glorified golf buggies based on electric models from the Garia company, Club Car Group.

Like his predecessor, Pope Leo XIV is very environmentally conscious, so his holiness made sure that the eco-friendly vehicles had no impact on the environment.

The Popemobiles are built with Pope Leo XIV’s lifestyle in mind. They’re easier to use in heavily populated pedestrian areas and include a handrail, as he spends a lot of time standing.

Pope Leo XIV and his two new electric Popemobiles

When you think of iconic vehicles, you might think of the famous Eleanor Mustang, or maybe Lightning McQueen.

But one of the most widely recognized celebrity cars in the whole world has to be the Popemobile.

The first American pope, Pope Leo XIV, needed some new cars to suit his new papal lifestyle. So his Holiness was recently presented with two electric Popemobiles that can also be transported by air.

The Popemobiles are slightly different from the normal ones because they look a little bit like electric golf buggies. Mostly because they’re based on electric models made by the Garia company Club Car Group.

They can be transported by air as he travels

Like his predecessor, Pope Leo XIV really cares about the environment. So the two new electric Popemobiles were made with his sustainability criteria in mind.

The Pope’s lifestyle often requires him to travel through crowded pedestrian areas. Which means the two new electric Popemobiles were built for that purpose, as well as being lightweight enough to be flown by plane.

The interior design comes with a handrail because the Pope does a lot of standing and waving in his job. So he needs a secure base to stand on, as well as something to hold on to.

It looks like Pope Leo XIV’s papacy will be one of sustainability, practicality, and safety. And that’s reflected in his two new electric rides.
