Porsche owner reveals hidden costs of owning his electric Taycan that was declared ‘worthless’

A YouTuber who has gone viral thanks to his brutally honest EV reviews has posted yet another video slating his car for the hidden costs associated with Porsche Taycan ownership.
He has been honest in the past about how much he dislikes his electric Porsche and it is clear he regrets it as a purchase.
In the past he has attempted to return it to the dealership, where they declared it worthless.
It seems that this is another reason on the long list of why he thinks the Porsche Taycan is not a good investment.

The worthless car
Lee Alexander Davey, known online as The Macmaster is one person who is known for hating his car.
After trying and failing to sell it back to the Porsche dealership after he realized it was worthless, it seems as though Davey has been unfortunately saddled with an underperforming Porsche Taycan.
In his most recent video he divulged the true hidden costs of owning a Porsche Taycan to his subscribers and was disappointed that his money-saving EV was not very cost effective.
The hidden costs are crazy
Often sold as a more cost-effective vehicle and a great way to save money on expensive petrol, some EVs can come with far more price tags than we give them credit for.
EVs require expensive specialist tires to help with managing the weight of the car’s battery, Davey managed to find some cheaper at a local mechanics, but had to do a lot of research to find a cheap alternative.
EVs have to go in for a lot of services for cars that have very few mechanical components, a simple speaker service can cost $600.
Porsche recalled Davey’s Porsche Taycan due to a faulty battery and replaced it with a new one that is less likely to catch fire, this made the charging capacity far worse and it takes twice the amount of time to charge his EV.
While electric cars are gaining popularity and are seen as the trendiest type of vehicle you can get, there’s no denying that there is a lack of reliable charging infrastructure in the UK.
The increase in electric car sales should lead to increased charging ports, but that is not necessarily the case, like Davey has discovered.
The Taycans unreliability has led to a huge amount of the model being returned to dealerships and being sold on the second hand market shockingly cheaply.
The Macmaster remains unimpressed by his Porsche Taycan and it doesn’t look like there’s anything any EV can do to try and change his opinion.
