Qualcomm, best known for creating wireless tech, has unveiled its very own concept car at CES.

This is the Snapdragon Digital Chassis Concept and it’s packed with incredible, industry-leading technology.

The car was revealed at CES in Las Vegas this week to showcase how automakers can use Qualcomm’s technology.

And automakers should take note because there’s some exciting stuff in here.

CHECK THIS OUT!

For starters, the car has a 55-inch pillar-to-pillar display that stretches from the driver to the passenger side.

The tech is set up so the passenger can online game and even stream content.

The fun isn’t just limited to the passenger either.

The car is fitted with cameras that can recognize the driver and passenger and adjust the settings accordingly.

This means the driver and passenger can have their preferred content on the screen in front of them.

Each passenger can also customize the audio in their zone, with the car reducing noise and echo.

On top of that, the car has biometric authentication so you can make in-car purchases without needing to get your card out.

The car is also constantly recording footage of the road around it, and in the case of a crash the footage will be automatically uploaded and stored on the cloud.

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. CEO Cristiano Amon told CNBC they were now “all in on auto”.

“We have been very committed to diversifying the company,” he said.

“Auto is one of those vectors.”

This exact concept car won’t go into production because it was just created to show what the company’s tech could do.

But Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Ride Flex system-on-chip (SoC) will go into production.

The Ride Flex system is essentially advanced driver assistance and an automated driving function all on one chip.
