This rare Ford Consul hidden on a farm led to a secret Lotus Mercedes treasure.

YouTuber IMSTOKZE paid a visit to the 1961 Ford Consul, which hadn’t been on the road since 2017.

It was fading, but its character still shone through in its pink paint job.

But that was just the beginning of this wonderful car discovery.

We can’t deny that farms often play host to some awesome hidden gem cars.

Just in recent weeks, we’ve seen a 1955 Chevy inside a Kansas barn, a Ford Falcon chilling on a Queensland farm, and a whole host of classic cars found on an abandoned farm.

It seems it’s not just tractors roaming these rural properties.

And nobody knows that better than Stuart, a UK YouTuber who runs the channel IMSTOKZE.

His whole channel revolves around finding abandoned gems, like the time he discovered a deserted Honda Civic.

In a recent video, he took a look at a 1961 Ford Consul that hadn’t been driven since 2017.

It had less than 100,00 miles on the clock, but for the time being, its days out on the road were behind it.

“She’s a really old girl, isn’t she?” Stuart said.

“I love all the stainless steel [on the wing mirrors], this is when things were made properly.”

The car was looking a little shabby, as dirt covered a lot of the exterior, and plants had grown over most of the rear.

But the Consul’s personality still shone through.

We really hope something jazzes it up again and gives it a deserved return to the road.

But that wasn’t all Stuart would discover on his encounter.

As he was driving back from the farm, he came across a property that was home to a classic Lotus and a rare Mercedes.

The owner Don allowed Stuart in to take a look.

He, in fact, had three beauties on display.

The first was a 1990s Volvo 240, which had just over 100,000 miles on the clock.

The car was in need of some TLC, and Don seemed willing to let it go for a cheap price.

The next was a 1987 Lotus Eclat Excel, which was in white.

“Unfortunately, she does need a little bit of work,” Stuart said.

“We might put her on the channel and give her a good clean up.”

But the ‘crowning jewel’ in Stuart’s estimation was the 1974 Mercedes-Benz 250.

It had racked up 49,000 miles, but Don struggled getting it to start up for Stuart.

According to Don, only 10 250s remain on the road today.
