Rapper, record executive and producer Rick Ross has just added a ‘$5 billion’ private jet to his collection.
While introducing his new purchase, Ross said it was his first plane but was unlikely to be his last.

The Grammy-nominated artist is a self-proclaimed car collector and enthusiast, and spends a significant chunk of his $55 million net worth on things that have wheels.
He recently hosted his very own car show at his Atlanta estate, showcasing his entire collection that comprises over 100 vehicles.
Rick Ross’ new jet is massive, with enough room to carry 18 people.
It was actually designed with 20 seats but Ross had it reconfigured to make it more spacious.
Speaking of which, the jet is fully customized, with plush leather seats for the interior and a rather conspicuous livery for the exterior.
It’s actually quite striking, coming in with a black and gold silhouette and a massive ‘Rick Ross’ inscription on the fuselage.
When the rapper shared pictures of his latest purchase to Instagram, several high-profile celebrities took the opportunity to weigh in.
Fellow rappers Big Sean, TY Dolla Sign and Busta Rhymes all took a moment to congratulate Ross.
Even German fashion designer Philipp Plein and wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson commented.
The jet in question is a 2012 Gulfstream G550.
It was actually bought new by Wells Fargo, as in the bank, before being acquired by one of Rick Ross’ companies, dubbed ‘Maybach Air’, in 2023.
The 47-year-old is a big fan of the Maybach car brand, even his record label Maybach Music Group is named after the German automaker.
We’re not 100 percent sure what Rick Ross means when he calls it a ‘$5 billion jet’, though.
Prices for a Gulfstream G550 range between $15 million and $40 million.
