This robot will do every chore you hate doing – and it’ll only cost you $20,000.

Very few people enjoy doing household chores, whether it’s vacuuming or doing the dishes.

Fear not – the Figure 03 robot has arrived.

The company behind this robot has designed it for ‘the home and the world at scale’.

Taking a closer look at the robot that could soon be doing your household chores

The Figure 03 is the creation of Figure AI, created out of its Silicon Valley headquarters.

It follows on from the Figure 02s, which have been working 10-hour shifts lifting parts in a BMW factory.

The Figure 03 is set to be an improvement upon its predecessor, as the first robot suitable for domestic chores.

The company – which counts Jeff Bezos and Microsoft among its investors – has bold ambitions for the future of robotics.

It’s hoped that the Figure 03 will be the first mass-produced humanoid.

And get this – it’s hoped that it’ll one day be working on its production line, TIME Magazine reported.

Figure AI’s CEO Brett Adcock sees the robot’s role going beyond household chores like loading the dishwasher and making the bed.

In fact, he anticipated androids would be in every element of society.

“We think there will be billions in the workforce, doing work every day,” he told TIME.

“They’ll be in healthcare, and then ultimately over time they’ll be in space too, helping build colonies in space and on different planets.”

How did people feel about the launch of the Figure 03?

Over on Instagram, people shared their thoughts in the comments section of a video announcing the 03.

“Yay, the season finale of human civilization is here,” one person declared.

Others took a more optimistic view of the technological development.

“This looks incredible, just imagining the hours of engineering and design that went into this,” one commenter wrote.

“We are living in the future,” another commented.

The future is here – and it’s robotic

The Figure 003 is just the latest in a long line of exciting cyborg developments.

Whether it’s shifting into liquid like the Terminator or outrunning humans, these bots aren’t slowing down anytime soon.

But don’t think that robots are solely outcompeting humans – they’re also helping us a whole lot.

Take the example of Tilly Lockey, a 19-year-old from the UK, who has bionic hands that she can control with her mind.
