Guys, we got a new Supercar Blondie article about GTA VI before we got GTA VI, because a new release date has been confirmed by Rockstar and it’s been delayed…again.
Absolute scenes happened in the gaming world today as it was announced that the release date for GTA’s latest instalment has been pushed back, and it doesn’t look like we’re getting it anytime soon.
We’ve been anticipating this release for over a decade now, following the launch of GTA V in 2013, so this game better be good, as it’s been 11 years in the making.
The bus back to Vice City is a long way off and a lot of the information about the game has been kept under wraps, despite some people’s best efforts to leak it.

Rockstar confirms new GTA VI release date
Fans of the hit game series Grand Theft Auto, AKA GTA, are probably some of the most patient in the world, as the sixth instalment of the iconic open-world extravaganza has been in production for well over a decade now.
The relief following the December 2023 announcement that we were finally going to be able to return to Vice City was palpable, but Rockstar Games has broken hearts all over again with its newest press release.
The suspicious lack of official updates or even a second trailer should have been enough to set alarm bells ringing in a lot of our heads.
But it seems that we could still be hurt by Rockstar Games, however much we don’t want to admit it.
GTA VI is set to launch with $1 billion already safely in Rockstar Games’ pocket thanks to pre-orders, no matter when it releases.
Yep, you read that right…
Unfortunately, it’s true: GTA VI has been delayed until at least May 26, 2026, which is over a year away.
Fans reactions to the announcement have been mixed, with a lot suggesting that they saw it coming, while others are asking Rockstar to ‘at least’ publish some more gameplay screenshots to tide everyone over.
We’ve already had a little bit of information about the cars we could expect to see in the game and a few screengrabs, but is it ever really enough?
At the end of the day, it seems there are only three things true in life: death, taxes, and delayed Rockstar games.
