Who is the mystery billionaire who bought the world’s most expensive car, the Rolls-Royce Arcadia?

This is the Rolls-Royce Arcadia Droptail, one of the most expensive cars ever built.

Not long ago, the car was delivered to its owner, and now people are wondering who that person might be.

Named after the home of the Gods Hermes and Pan in Greek mythology, the Arcadia is the third (of four) limited-edition ‘Droptail’ convertibles manufactured by Rolls-Royce.

The Arcadia follows the La Rose Noire and the Amethyst – the one with a dashboard clock that costs six figures – in the Droptail collection, which in turn was preceded by the Boat Tail collection

The thing with these cars is they’re extremely expensive.

Even though the official price tag is never revealed, they’re all believed to cost eight figures.

And we should point out that the first figure of that particularly large number isn’t even a ‘1’.

The cars are entirely custom-built, from scratch, for their respective owners, who generally remain anonymous.

There are rumors that Galatasaray star Mauro Icardi and Jay-Z both own a Boat Tail, but these rumors are generally unconfirmed.

The car is gorgeous, finished in a combination of white and silver with glass, aluminum, and carbon fiber accents on the bodywork.

The interior is a triumph of leather and wood, which was also used to cover the yacht-style deck lid at the back.

According to Rolls-Royce, a total of 223 individual pieces of wood were used for the car, and it took over 8,000 hours to apply them by hand.

Under the hood, the Rolls-Royce Arcadia is powered by a 6.75-liter V12, delivering 593 horsepower.

Ordinarily, we’d be tempted to say that actually doesn’t matter because these cars generally live in air-conditioned vaults and never actually see the road.

However, a while back, Supercar Blondie’s very own Sergi Galiano managed to spot a Boat Tail out ‘in the wild’ in Dubai, actually being driven on the road.

So who’s the buyer? That’s the million-dollar question.

The only thing we know with reasonable certainty about the Rolls-Royce Arcadia is that it was purchased by a ‘mystery billionaire’ from Singapore.

According to Forbes, there are currently 44 billionaires in Singapore, with the richest person being Facebook co-founder, Eduardo Saverin.

And this actually brings us to the other important question.

Is it a Singaporean collector, or a Singapore-based collector? Rolls-Royce didn’t say.

Like most tech billionaires, Saverin doesn’t strike us as the kind of guy who’s likely to be spotted at the wheel of a flashy, expensive car.

Then again this is a moot point anyway because a car like this will probably never be driven.
