Ruben Dias blends soccer and supercars in new Lamborghini partnership

Ruben Dias is one of the best defenders in world soccer.

The Portuguese international currently serves as vice-captain of Manchester City.

Aside from dominating defensively on the pitch, he is doing pretty well off it, too.

And the defensive stalwart has recently announced a massive new deal with Lamborghini.

If you are a fan of European soccer, then you likely know who Ruben Dias is.

Born in Amadora (northwest Lisbon), Portugal, Dias came through Benfica’s academy.

At just 20 years old, the Portuguese got his break in the Benfica first team.

His performances earned him a massive move to English champions Manchester City in 2020.

Many were concerned if Dias could fill the defensive void left by club legend Vincent Kompany.

However, the young Portuguese proved more than capable of rising to the challenge.

His first full season was laden with individual honors for the young defender.

It was a year that saw him win the FWA Footballer of the Year, Manchester City Player of the Year, as well as Premier League Player of the Season and UEFA Champions League Defender of the Season.

The following year was even better, as Dias served at the heart of City’s treble-winning success.

2022-23 saw City become the first team since crosstown-rivals Manchester United to win the treble.

Dias was a core reason behind City winning the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.

And the Portuguese has continued to be the spine of City’s defence ever since.

OK, so this season might not have gone to plan for Manchester City – who lost the title to Liverpool by some distance – but there are other reasons for Dias to be cheerful – particularly when it comes to cars.

Apart from his work on the field, Dias has been enjoying life off the field, too.

Yesterday, Italian giants Lamborghini made a massive announcement.

The Bologna marque released the announcement of its partnership with the City star.

In particular, the partnership centres on the incredible Revuelto supercar.

Dias has been a lifelong Lamborghini fan, and he explained his love for the brand.

“For me Lamborghini was always a dream car, something to aspire to and set as an attainable goal.”

Dias spoke specifically about his love for the next-generation Revuelto.

 “It’s exciting in the way it drives,” says Dias. “It’s beautiful. Revuelto is next generation.”

We certainly can’t say that we disagree with Ruben Dias – the Revuelto is truly something special.
