A stunning new electric car, the Saudi CEER EV, recently broke cover, and many were convinced it was an Aston Martin.

After images surfaced earlier in December 2025 of a radical electric car, many jumped to the conclusion that the car was the new Aston Martin Lagonda EV.

But it turned out that was wildly off the mark, and the car in question was the Saudi CEER EV, produced by CEER Motors.

It is the first homegrown electric car brand to emerge from Saudi Arabia, and if it looks anything like the test mule, it is certainly set to grab plenty of attention.

The Saudi CEER EV was spotted during testing

Spy images of the new car were recently spotted, and it was assumed to be the Aston Martin Lagonda.

But a teaser from CEER Motors clarified that it was actually Saudi Arabia’s first all-electric car.

The front of the new car is incredibly long, with a huge windshield stretching down to a shorter hood.

At the very front, the car features a flat nose, complemented by aggressively sculpted headlights.

Spy images showed that the car features a low roofline, which helps create an aerodynamic wedge shape.

Very few details are known about the electric car beyond what we’ve seen in the spy shots.

Teasers from the company have kept all of the important details well hidden.

The Saudi EV looked similar to the Aston Martin

It is easy to see why so many thought the CEER Motors was actually the Aston Martin Lagonda.

The Lagonda will be based on the 2018 Lagonda Vision Concept.

This car bears remarkable similarities to the prototype that was recently spotted.

It has a similarly large windshield that is highly raked, plus a similar-looking nose.

The Aston Martin also appeared to have a low roofline and a similar wedge shape.

It is remarkable just how similar the two cars appear to be.

At the time of writing, the Lagonda had suffered some delays in its development.

The real first all-electric Aston Martin has yet to break cover.

When it does so, it will be interesting to see if people suddenly mistake it for the CEER Motors EV.
