A US car dealership worker thought he was about to have a routine appraisal day.

Then he opened an email that had landed in his spam folder.

The message said, ‘I have a few cars for you’.

But that ‘few’ turned out to be 17.

One private owner offered 17 cars for appraisal at once

In a recent YouTube video for his channel BenzsandBowties, appraiser Doug Horner sat down with and started going through a list of cars traded in to his dealership.

The seller was not a dealer.

He was one private owner with a huge collection.

By the time filming of the video even began, the team had already priced a Ford Raptor R and a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT for him.

But that was only the start.

The full list included five different Porsches, a Bentley GT Speed, a Corvette Z06, a BMW M8 Competition, an Escalade-V, a Mercedes G63, two Hondas, a Jeep, and a Silverado truck.

The Porsche numbers showed how serious this was.

One 2025 911 Turbo S had an original MSRP of $268,775.

The team discussed offering about $10,000 over sticker to stay competitive.

A 2026 911 Targa 4 GTS with just 300 miles was discussed at roughly $260,000.

Another 2024 Targa 4 GTS was priced around $223,000, slightly below its original window sticker to leave room for resale.

The appraiser kept repeating the same goal.

Doug did not want to overpay.

But he wanted to offer enough to secure all 17 cars at once.

The list jumped from $260K Porsches to everyday Hondas

After reviewing six-figure sports cars, they moved straight to a 2026 Honda Passport.

Then came a 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid with only 50 miles.

A 2023 Honda Accord was discussed at around $22,590, but it had an accident note on its vehicle history report, which meant they had to be cautious.

A 2025 Escalade-V was priced near $158,740, showing that some performance SUVs were still holding close to their original value.

The 2025 Silverado 2500, which had an accident history, was discussed at about $53,993.

By the end of the session, they had worked through prices for 16 vehicles and were preparing to call the owner.

They paused the Bentley GT Speed because they needed the exact window sticker before putting a number on it.

With Bentley, the options could change the value dramatically.

In the end, what started with ‘a few cars’ turned into one of the largest single-owner appraisal sessions the dealership had ever handled.
