Shaquille O'Neal owns the biggest ever Chevy Corvette and this is the wild process that was done to make sure the car was big enough for him

Shaquille O’Neal is a larger-than-life character, both figuratively and literally, and that played a part in his being the owner of the biggest ever Chevy Corvette, thanks to Effortless Motors.

The basketball legend has regularly teamed up with Efforless Motors to modify and customize his cars, be it a Corvette or a Tesla EV.

In December 2025, the company shared how it built the Corvette for O’Neal, who is 7 ft 1 in tall, so the American sports car could accommodate the sports star.

A few modifications were made, and thankfully, it ended with Shaquille O’Neal being able to enjoy the Corvette.

This is how Effortless Motors built the Chevy Corvette for Shaquille O’Neal

With O’Neal being such a tall guy, extensive work was needed to modify the American sports car.

The entire car needed to be taken apart.

The team had to 3D render the car, and then turn it into one big project.

“We’re gonna redo everything, make the seats bigger, the doors bigger, the body bigger…everything has to be bigger,” said Effortless Motors.

The video gives a very good overview of how much work was involved.

“We had to cut the car in half, we got to make the doors 10 inches bigger and make the car even wider,” added Effortless Motors.

The whole process was much deeper than simply stretching an existing car.

In many ways, it was almost an all-new model of Corvette.

Think of it as an extended-wheelbase version of the sports car, not just a simple tweak.

How much bigger was the car than a standard Corvette?

The new dimensions for O’Neal’s sports car make for impressive reading.

According to Effortless, the Chevy is 20 inches longer than the standard Corvette.

The original car measures 184.6 inches, or 4.7 meters, long.

Perhaps more impressive is how good the car looked when it was finished.

To the naked eye, there was no way of telling that this car had been modified.

The company shared images of Shaquille O’Neal sitting in the car, and the grin on his face said it all.

His size meant nearly every car he has bought needed modifying.

But the Chevy Corvette is the most impressive one thus far.
