People are praising Shaquille O’Neal’s car dealer for his reaction to Shaq’s prank involving a new 2025 Cadillac Escalade.

We all know that Shaq loves his cars – but what would happen if he wasn’t too happy with a new vehicle?

In a prank, he put that scenario to the test and told his dealer that he didn’t like a new Cadillac Escalade’s color.

The dealer thought quickly on his feet, though, and has earned praise from many people on the internet.

Shaquille O’Neal pranked his car dealer about a 2025 Cadillac Escalade

Shaquille O’Neal decided to have some fun with his car dealer when a brand new Cadillac Escalade rolled up.

The former basketballer is known for his love of cars, so he decided to mess with his dealer’s expectations.

Upon laying eyes on the new arrival, the 53-year-old didn’t mince his words.

“That’s too light,” he said, bending down for a closer look.

The car dealer didn’t miss a beat.

“It’s too light? Well listen, at the end of the day, you’re the boss,” he replied.

“You don’t like it, unfortunately I’m going to take it back and I’m going to redo the whole entire thing.”

“You sold me 10 cars, you only f**ked up once, that’s not bad,” Shaq said.

Even when in prank mode, Shaq was still trying to be positive.

As the car dealer was driving back to his place, Shaq gave him a call on FaceTime.

“I just wanted to tell you one thing…” Shaq ominously said.

“Ha ha, got you. Bring it back, I love it.”

We can all breathe a collective sigh of relief.

Shaq’s prank would make most of us crumble under the pressure, but this dealer took it in his stride.

Many commenters applauded the dealer for how he handled the situation.

“100 percent quality service. This man proved his worth and the worth of his business in five minutes. Great job,” one wrote.

“This man is a definition of a great business,” another commented.

“Weeks’ worth of time and effort, and this man says he’ll take it back and make it right, legend!” a third gushed.

If there’s one thing Shaq loves, it’s a car

Shaq’s car collection is very impressive, and contains customized vehicles such as this $1.5m ‘Superman’ Rolls-Royce Phantom.

That car was modified by Mansory, who added the iconic S on the car’s grille.

There’s also his ‘Frankenstein Ferrari’, which was modified to fit his huge frame.

Fitting into his cars has been a long-running issue for him, but it hasn’t deterred him from accumulating more.

He even found himself buying a Cybertruck and a Cyberbeast, the latter as a result of a LeBron James mix-up.

There’s no disputing that this man loves his cars.

So, best believe that when he tells you he’s not happy with the car, something is very wrong.

Fortunately, it was a gag in this case.

And the dealer handled Shaq’s prank with grace and professionalism.
