Legendary singer Sir Rod Stewart has thanked fans for making his Ferrari supercar collection happen, but he has a few regrets.

Stewart’s pride and joy are the Ferraris he owns. But he hinted late last year that he might have to sell them due to the state of the roads by his UK mansion.

The road outside Stewart’s home has been riddled with potholes. So the singer doesn’t want to take the cars over it in case he damages the Italian supercars.

Stewart has had to fight his local council for the last few years regarding potholes, leading to something of a standoff between him and the local authorities.

Stewart’s admission that he might have to sell his supercars came via an Instagram post showing off the cars.

The singer has called them ‘works of art’ and expressed how grateful he was to be able to own them.

It is an impressive collection that the singer has amassed.

Ferraris make up a big portion of the collection, but Stewart is also lucky enough to own a Lamborghini.

The most recent of his purchases was for a Ferrari LaFerrari, which he bought in 2023 for $6.3 million.

Being a huge soccer fan, Stewart also built a custom Celtic FC-themed garage for the hypercar.

But he admitted in 2024 that the state of the roads near his house means he may have to sell his cars.

The sale of the cars is what has led to his regrets.

This is due to how much he appreciated his fans for making this collection happen.

Stewart has been involved in some conflict with the local council near his Essex, UK, home.

He was seen early in 2022 helping to fix potholes with a team of volunteers.

They had begun to fix what the local authorities seemed unable to do.

That led to warnings from the council and threats that they wouldn’t be liable for future accidents if Stewart and the volunteers kept fixing the potholes.

Neither Stewart nor the volunteers were put off by this.

Some months later, it looked like Stewart had won.

The local council told the media they would re-lay the road that was causing the issues for the singer and other residents.

Judging by his latest post, though, it seems that something else may have gone wrong.

Hopefully, Stewart can find a solution that allows him to keep his amazing cars.
