You wouldn’t expect a tiny city car to become a fearsome snow machine, but that is exactly what some guys from Everett in the United States did with a 2014 Smart Fortwo Brabus.

Paul Bosch, who goes by Boshporsche – PNW on socials, took the small Smart Car and decided some of the mods he had already made to it weren’t enough.

So he decided that the best thing to do was to build it up as a snowmobile and replace the wheels with skis.

The combination sounds crazy, but you can read on to find out exactly what the results were.

This is how the Smart Fortwo Brabus became a snow machine

At Supercar Blondie, we were able to get a good look at this snow machine in action.

Bosch sent us over a video, and in it, we can see the changes that had to be made to get it into snowmobile condition.

At the front, Bosch removed the Smart Car’s wheels and replaced them with detachable skis.

Then, at the back, the wheels had also been removed.

But instead of more skis, Bosh had added caterpillar tracks.

These were similar to what you might find on a digger or tank.

The tracks and skis were made detachable so the car could be returned to road-going condition if needed.

It sounds wild and wacky, but the build in the video showed us that wild and wacky can work well.

How did the small city car go in the snowy conditions?

The footage that Bosch sent us showed the amazing car in action.

What impressed us was just how natural it looked for the Smart Car in the snow.

It might have looked strange with all its modifications, but it was an impressive sight.

It handled hills and deep snow with ease, as if it had always been built for it.

Bosch has also uploaded a full video of the car onto his YouTube channel.

This showed it off in the snow in more detail.

He and his team put the car through some crazy driving that really tested it to the limit.

The Smart Fortwo Brabus did get stuck once, but the team easily managed to get it back out again.

It might seem crazy, but it really does look like this small city car was made for the snow.
