Father-daughter duo rebuilds Dodge Viper to honor Lightning McQueen
Ever wondered what car Lightning McQueen is?
Well, truth be told, the Piston Cup-winning race car is whatever you want it to be, and people have been recreating the Disney Icon in many forms.
A straight-talking Mazda 6, like this one found on Facebook Marketplace. Sure.
Or, how about the drifting Mazda RX-7 turning The Fabulous into a beast that would light up the streets of Tokyo. Yes please.
The answer is always yes. But now we might have just found the best Lightning McQueen recreation ever, and it is in the capable hands of the South Carolina father-daughter duo over on HHWheels.
This time, they took the animated racing legend and personified him in an American racing legend: a Dodge Viper.

Bought from Minnesota, this Gen-2 Viper GTS was already on its way to being a Lightning McQueen remaster, with a film placed over the windscreen to replicate the eyes and his signature 95 bolt on the wings.
However, the father-daughter duo didn’t stop there, tuning the Dodge Viper and adding some aesthetic upgrades to get the full Lightning McQueen effect.
With new custom wheels, upgraded headlamps and lenses, an interior makeover, and more decals, the car was ready to take out to the roads.
The best recreation yet
The HHWheels duo took the Dodge Viper McQueen to a ‘Holley MoParty’ where the sensational build posed for pictures with admiring fans.
“Man, those wheels are awesome. Those wheels are perfect. That could not be more perfect for this car,” said the dad.
The daughter’s thrill couldn’t be contained either, as she added:
“They did this perfectly. They absolutely did this perfectly.”
“It looks so cool. I’m over the moon with this thing.

Putting McQueen on a Dodge Viper is a stroke of genius, with his appearance matching the real animated version almost perfectly.
And, he’s already a true racecar.
