Special Toyota models are getting a bold new look with the arrival of Wave Maker: a striking, icy blue exclusive to the 2026 TRD Pro lineup.
This marks the 11th annual TRD Pro-exclusive color, and continues a tradition that began in 2015 with the fiery ‘inferno’.
The new hue will grace only a handful of 2026 TRD Pro models, and will only be available for one model year.
In other words, if you want to grab one of these blue beauties, you better act fast.

Unveiled by carmaker on May 16, Wave Maker is a striking shade of blue designed to reflect exploration, bold ambition, and the raw power of nature.

Developed by Toyota’s CALTY Design team, Wave Maker isn’t just any other blue.
“With Wave Maker, we were inspired by unexplored areas of adventure including extreme territory and even beyond earth,” said Benjamin Jimenez, general manager at CALTY’s Ann Arbor location.
This bold new paint will be available only on TRD Pro versions of the Toyota 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia.
These are the brand’s most adventure-ready vehicles, making the nature-inspired blue a fitting new color.
They also happen to be some of Toyota’s sturdiest vehicles, with a certain man in Louisiana clocking more than 1 million miles on two separate Tundras.
Indeed, this color will be quite exclusive, as once the model year is over, you can say good bye to Wave Maker.
The tradition of one-year-only TRD Pro colors has helped these models become more than just rugged off-roaders.
Previous colors like ‘Lunar Rock’, ‘Electric Lime’, and ‘Solar Octane’ are now fan favorites, making these special Toyota models some of the coolest and bizarre-colored cars on the road right now.

In fact, the ‘Lunar Rock’ color was so sought after, this nurse flew more than 1,000 miles away to secure it.
If you want to snag a TRD Pro wrapped in Wave Maker, it’s best if you don’t drag your feet for too long.
The 2026 models are expected to start arriving in dealerships in fall 2025, and production numbers will be limited, as always.
If you’re aiming for a standout off-road vehicle with a unique hue, Wave Maker offers an opportunity to own a rare piece of Toyota’s adventure-ready lineup.
