No matter how old you are, you almost certainly know about SpongeBob SquarePants — and if you’re a fan – the SpongeBob Boatmobile might ring a bell.
Well, someone built one in real life, and it’s amazing.
Custom projects and vehicles from movies and TV shows aren’t uncommon, but this was one of the wildest projects ever.
Someone took upon this project plainly because nobody had done it before. It took him quite a while to finish the entire thing, but it was well worth it in the end.

Guy built SpongeBob Boatmobile in real life
A YouTuber who goes by Louis Weisz had a childhood dream of driving around in the SpongeBob Boatmobile.
That’s exactly why he took it upon himself to build one and posted a video about the entire process on his channel.
We’ve seen our fair share of real-life Batmobile projects, but a Boatmobile was unheard of.
Nobody had done it before, so he didn’t know what one would look like in real life, but the man had a plan.
He started with the solid idea of getting a donor vehicle and adding a boat to it, but that was the only easy part.
Weisz got himself a GO-4 Interceptor trike — which is legally a motorcycle and would help this custom project become road-legal.
He also purchased a used boat that looked exactly like the actual SpongeBob’s Boatmobile, so the project seemed hopeful.
However, the honeymoon phase passed in no time, and the hard part began.
Putting the boat and mobile together
For the interceptor to be used as a donor vehicle, it had to be stripped down to the frame to accommodate a full-sized boat on top of it.
But more importantly, it had to run and have the ability to drive with proper steering, brakes, and a gas engine.
Installing all that took him and his team more than a month, and the ambitious custom project didn’t look as easy then.
However, they never faltered and kept working on it.
After endless hours of getting the donor vehicle ready, it was time to put the entire thing together.
They had a boat and a working mobile, so they combined them to create the SpongeBob Boatmobile.
Finally, it came together and certainly appeared as an exact replica of the actual thing.
It’s not the first time we’ve seen a custom project come together, but this was an incredible feat.
When Weisz fulfilled his childhood dream, he took his new ride on the roads of Los Angeles and eventually drove it to the real-life location of SpongeBob’s Shell City in Malibu.
