A student who was looking around her grandma’s house found Lamborghini and Ferrari supercars worth over $500,000, and they had been untouched for 20 years.
The 1980s Lamborghini Countach and Ferrari 308 had been left in a garage for decades, and the student found them hiding in plain sight back in 2018.
The Countach had been under a sheet while the Ferrari had been tucked up into a back corner.
Posting them on Reddit, the floodgates opened as many wanted to know just how the cars had come to be in the garage.

The story behind the two garaged supercars
The caption to her post on Reddit said:
“Despite the rust and dust, grandma’s 1981 Lamborghini Countach is the coolest.”
Further images were uploaded to her Imgur.
She then expanded on how the supercars had ended up in the garage.
Her late grandpa had bought the two cars for his exotic car rental business in 1989.
But rising insurance costs meant it became too expensive to run the company.

So after this, he kept some of the cars, which included the Ferrari 308 and the Lamborghini Countach.
They were then placed into the garage, and that is where they sat for over 20 years.
So you can imagine her surprise when she walked into the garage and found these two rare gems from the 1980s.
What were the plans for the Lamborghini and Ferrari?
Sadly, she revealed that as a ‘broke college student’, she couldn’t restore the cars herself.
However, she did hope that someone in her family would be able to do so.
Her grandma was also keen to move them on at some point.
She didn’t explicitly put them up for sale, but said she was open to offers for the supercars.
Despite the dust and dirt, both seem to have survived quite well.
Being undercover for so many years has definitely helped to preserve the two cars.

The Countach looked very special, being an LP500 S, with just 321 made in total.
Under the hood is a 4.9-liter V12 that makes 385hp.
The cars were found in 2018, so hopefully they did move on to a good home.
