A new supercar is landing in over 16 countries around the globe.

The MARSIEN supercar from Marc Philipp Gemballa is all carbon fiber and made from more than 85 pieces.

It’s a limited edition model, with only 40 units being made, and has attracted buyers from over sixteen countries.

A closer look at the new supercar

Designed by French Porsche’s, Alan Derosier, the MARSIEN underwent extensive training across a variety of terrains.

They were as diverse as the Nordschleife, the Arabian desert, and the glaciers of Scandinavia.

This ensured that the car could perform in extreme weather conditions, whether it be the -4°F glaciers of Austria or the 70°F heat in the UAE desert.

Those who purchase the car get an unlimited choice of paint hues and can also opt for exposed carbon elements on the rear diffuser, front splitter, and side skirts.

What really makes the MARSIEN stand out is its on and off-road abilities.

Its suspension contains more than 30 individual pieces, and drivers have the ability to deflate or inflate tires on the go depending on the conditions of the road.

Powering the MARSIEN is a RUF-tuned motor that provides a boost of 750hp in a standard setup and 830hp with a stage two setup.

With only 40 having been made and each one worth up to $700,000, don’t expect to see these on a regular basis.

MARSIEN – one of a kind

The name itself is a nod to the planet Mars, derived from the French word for Martian.

This stems from the team’s experience while testing the car in the desert of the Emirate of Sharjah, with its breathtaking mountainscape and red sand.

Recent news from the Red Planet includes the Mars rover accidentally discovering an extraordinary substance that ‘shouldn’t be there’.

Back to planet Earth, and Marc Philipp Gemballa recalled: “We felt like we were on Mars.”

The cars were first presented as part of the Fuori Concorso event at Lake Como from 24 to 26 May.

“This place is special to me since I spent a lot of time here during my childhood and used to visit Monaco every year with my father for the Grand Prix and several automobile shows presenting his newest creations,” Gemballa said.

MARSIEN isn’t the only supercar joining the world recently.

Maserati are gearing up to unveil their latest creation, whilst Honda are breathing new life into a concept from the 1980s.
