Supercar Blondie has swapped her G-Wagen for a Tesla Cyberbeast and explains why she's made the switch

Supercar Blondie has traded in her G-Wagen for a Tesla Cyberbeast, and this is why she’s made the change.

Alex Hirschi, aka Supercar Blondie, had been using her Tiffany Blue G-Wagen as her daily driver for years.

But then she decided to put it up for sale and to move onto pastures new.

Now she is explaining why she’s replaced the G-Wagen with a Tesla Cyberbeast.

What made you go ‘yep, I’ll go for the Cyberbeast’?

I always wanted a Cyberbeast. From the moment it was revealed, I went down to the Tesla store in Dubai and put my $100 deposit down.

Then when it actually came to market I was even more convinced I wanted one.

I got to drive one in LA when they first came out and it was like driving around in a space ship.

I love cars that look wildly different and are fast. This is both.

I actually bought one for $250k when they first came out but then decided to sell it on our opening auction on SBX Cars because it was so popular and it was quickly going up in price.

Fast forward a few years, I finally decided to get one, once the prices had stabilized.

Why the Cyberbeast over the standard Cybertruck?

I had to get the Cyberbeast, because it much quicker and more powerful than the Cybertruck. I don’t think I would have been happy driving the two-motor version knowing there’s a faster one out there.

What was your first reaction when you saw it in person compared to the when you saw it in the pictures?

I just couldn’t believe they actually brought out a truck that looks as crazy in person as the promo pictures.

That’s actually what I loved. Usually car companies will promote a really cool-looking car, but when the final road-legal version comes out, it’s a much tamer version of the car they wanted to create. This time, it was the same which I loved.

What’s your favourite part about it, and what’s one thing you wish had been done differently?

My favorite part about it is the all-wheel steering. It actually comes as a bit of a shock at first, the car moves completely differently.

One tiny move of the steering wheel and the whole car jumps to the left or the right.

It makes turning such a huge long car a breeze. The turning circle is brilliant.

The part that annoys me is that it doesn’t have Apple Play so I have to use their own system. For a car that wants to be super tech focused, this is just annnoying.

Are you going to customise it?

Definitely going to customize it. I’ve seen a few trucks around in gray or black or even pink. I don’t like any of them. I like the original look of the silver because it compliments the futuristic design.

So for me I want to choose paint that is futuristic. I might go with a shiny gradient style wrap or paint that changes color when you look at it from different angles.

Is it fitted with FSD?

Yes, it has full self driving but I haven’t tried it yet.

What do you think of its steer-by-wire system?

It’s amazing. Super responsive. A bit of a shock at first when it responds but you get used to it.

Were there any other candidates or was it a case of Cyberbeast or nothing?

Pretty much a case of keep the Brabus G or get the Cybertruck. There just wasn’t really anything else that got me excited. I would like to get another Brabus G, though this year. Do it up again, with a different color interior.

Would you consider buying a Roadster once it eventually comes out?

Totally depends on how cool it looks. The Cybertruck is the only Tesla currently that I like.

All the others I find super boring design wise.

Anything else you’d like to add about the Cyberbeast?

It’s weird to see people’s reactions. It still, years later gets attention on the road. However, the reaction in person to me buying one from fellow car lovers has been pretty negative but I don’t care. I love it.
