Supersonic plane concept with no fuselage is effectively all-wing

Aircraft design has evolved through the years, but it always revolves around the same idea.

Now, we’re seeing a resurgence of interest in aircraft design that deviates from the ‘traditional’ fuselage+wings design.

This supersonic jet, which effectively has no fuselage at all, is a great example.

It’s an all-wing jet if you like.

Inspired by the Lockheed Martin plane with the ‘ring wing‘, and the wingless design prototype shared by Oscar Viñals, we came up with our own concept.

Specifically, we designed a concept with no fuselage, an all-wing jet.

With help from MidJourney, an AI tool, we came up with two separate designs for a streamlined jet with large wings.

The wings are in fact so broad that they are actually fully incorporated into the fuselage, in a way that makes it look like there’s no fuselage at all.

The idea, or perhaps we should say ‘hope’, is to use this solution to make aircraft more aerodynamically efficient.

In both cases, it looks like a fighter jet more than a private one.

And that actually leads us on the other element of the concept that’s unique.

We’ve heard about private jets and supersonic jets, but we’ve never heard of a supersonic private jet.

This is obviously a bit ambitious as far as ideas go, but it would be an interesting way to fly supersonic again after the Concorde.

It is also a necessity – as the concept is simply too small to accommodate more than a dozen passengers.

The bad news is this is just a wild concept, and it’s never going to happen.

It would probably break the record for the most expensive privately owned vehicle in the world.

We bet some people on the Forbes 100 list would order one.
