Kaos, a superyacht originally designed for the Emir of Qatar and now owned by the heir to the Walmart fortune, was just spotted in Italy.
The yacht is massive and massively expensive.
The vessel is worth around $300 million.
And it also holds a record.

Kaos holds a very important record
Built by Oceanco, Kaos is a 110-meter (361-foot) vessel with enough room for 34 guests and 41 crew.
The yacht comprises several decks, including three sun decks, one of which also features a sizable swimming pool and a beach club.
And of course, there’s also a helipad.
It also holds a record: Kaos is the largest yacht ever built in the Netherlands.
That may sound like a niche record, but it isn’t.
The vast majority of superyachts are built in Germany, Italy, or the Netherlands, so this is kind of a big deal.

The yacht was originally called Jubilee, and used to be owned by the former Emir of Qatar.
It was then renamed Kaos, and now belongs to Nancy Walton Laurie, one of the heirs to the Walmart fortune.
One of the largest superyachts in the world, but not the largest
At 361 feet, Kaos is one of the largest superyachts in the world.
And yet, surprisingly, there are several vessels that are even larger.

Jeff Bezos’ Koru (417 feet) is larger, as is the $450 million, 466-foot superyacht owned by Google co-founder Sergey Brin.
Maybe that’s the reason why the Emir of Qatar sold the yacht.
Maybe the Emir of Qatar and his family simply wanted an even bigger yacht.
But all the aforementioned yachts pale in comparison to the size of the world’s largest yacht, Azzam, which was originally built for an Abu Dhabi Royal.
At 180 meters (590 feet), Azzam is the largest privately owned yacht in the world.
