Working at Google offers more than a competitive salary and the ability to say you’ve worked for one of the world’s largest tech companies.
According to former Google employee Ken Waks, you also get some seriously mind-blowing perks thrown in the mix.

A Google employee can get free meals, fruit and (non-alcoholic) drinks from the company’s onsite cafes and canteens.
You can even grab a bunch of snacks and keep them for later.
In order to stay healthy you need great food and exercise and Google’s got you covered on that front as well.
There’s a gym at the Google HQ and employees are free to use it whenever they want.
In addition to that, you also have access to massage therapists and onsite medical staff.

Google also believes in the so-called ‘20% policy’.
In other words, when they’re at work, any Google employee gets to devote 20 percent of the time to side projects of your choice.
Last but not least, you’re free to take your dog (or any other pet) to work.
But it’s not all fun and games, Waks says.
“I loved that you could bring your dog to the office and the offices were dog friendly. But in reality, they did that so you would not leave the office to go take care of your dog,” Waks said.
“I would rather not have those perks and have a higher salary,” Waks added.
The perks versus salary debate is as old as time.
Some people don’t really care for perks and just want a higher salary, while others swear by good perks with their jobs.

As for Waks’ video, most of his followers seem to agree it’s better to have the perks than not.
“How can you complain about those perks? Try working in healthcare or in retail or the food industry, go check out those perks,” one said.
“If a company was taking care of me that well, I would not have a problem working longer hours to do my job,” another added.
Whatever else you may think about Google’s perks, they pale in comparison to the freebies Neymar is getting at Saudi club Al-Hilal.
In addition to his $100 million salary, Neymar was given a private jet, a mansion with private staff available 24/7 and a $500k bonus for every social media post that promotes Saudi Arabia.
