This $3,500,000 supercar warrants the hype
So, what exactly could be so special that it would warrant this level of hype?
Trust us – this creation is truly something to behold.
This is the Capricorn 01 Zagato – and it is absolutely stunning.
It could already be a familiar name to you.
Zagato is one of the world’s premier coachbuilding companies.
You might have seen its name attached to Aston Martin, Bentley, and Alfa Romeo.

But the marque has recently begun focusing on building and designing its own models.
And it has partnered with a somewhat obscure German firm to do so.
Enter Capricorn: the German engineering and manufacturing firm.
The two marques have come together to produce the ultimate, pure supercar.
And straight away, this technology-hating supercar is striking to look at.
Zagato has given the coach-built hypercar gullwing doors.
And, in our humble opinion, it was an inspired choice.
Because who doesn’t love gullwing doors?

But as stunning as it is on the outside, you’re probably asking yourself something.
What actually powers this streamlined behemoth?
Well, it turns out that that role is fulfilled by a 5.2-liter V8 courtesy of Ford.
And the numbers back up the excitement you’re probably feeling.
It will hit 0-60mph in just 2.9 seconds and comes with a top speed of 224mph.
All of that power is channelled through an old-school, five-speed manual gearbox.
Capricorn 01 Zagato hates technology
But trust us – the experience only gets better on the inside.
Because the Capricorn 01 Zagato is the ultimate nostalgic experience.
You will have noticed that there is an absence of screens and technology.
This lack of luxury might come as a shock to some.

But it will also come as a thrill to petrol-head purists.
The interior is as driver-focused as it possibly can be.
All you will find is a leather-clad steering wheel paired to an old-school, stick-shift manual transmission.
The Capricorn 01 Zagato is fascinating because it really goes against modern trends.
In an era where smart technology is the order of the day, the two firms have raced in the opposite direction.
Regardless, this is a creation that is truly worthy of the hype.
