This stunning Tawny Gold 1971 Plymouth Cuda had a famous former owner who left their mark by signing their autograph in silver on the sun visor.
But even without its NHL former owner, the Cuda is an extra special find.
The vintage vehicle is in pristine condition and is finished in a retro Tawny Gold with white 383 billboard stripes and a canvas top over a black interior.
The numbers-matching Cuda has just 43,700 miles on the clock and is set to pass the auction block later this month, where it could sell for big bucks.

The low-mileage 1971 Plymouth Cuda has been signed by its previous owner
The 1971 Plymouth Cuda is particularly rare, being one of only 87 convertible models built that year to feature the 383 CI V-8 engine and TorqueFlite automatic transmission.
The Cuda has held onto both the original engine and transmission, as well as its original VIN decal and dashboard tag, and its original label on the door’s edge.

The car sits on 15-inch Raylle wheels wrapped in Goodyear Polglas tires.
It also comes with some neat options, including rare factory air conditioning, bucket seats, power steering and brakes, and a Rallye instrument package.
The car’s stereo system has been given an upgrade and now features a trunk-mounted subwoofer and amplifier.
Adding to its interest is the fact that the car once belonged to an NHL star.

Teemu Ilmari Selänne – also known as the Finnish Flash – was the proud owner of the Cuda.
The hockey star, who played for the Winnipeg Jets, Anaheim Ducks, San Jose Sharks, and Colorado Avalanche, is one of the highest-scoring players ever and has been named as one of the 100 greatest NHL players of all time.
Although he’s now parted with the car, Selänne did sign the sun visor in silver ink, making it a true one-off and boosting its appeal amongst hockey fans.
The sale also includes a State of California Certificate of Title in Selanne’s name and a color photo of Selanne.
The super-rare 1971 Plymouth is headed for auction, and it has an impressive valuation
The 1971 Plymouth Cuda is set to go under the hammer on January 16th at Mecum’s Kissimmee auction.

The car is being offered for sale with no reserve, but due to its combination of rarity, low mileage, and its celebrity former owner, it could sell for a tidy sum.
Mecum Auctions has put a valuation of between $120,000 and $140,000 on the 1971 Cuda.
