This Arizona-based Tesla Cybertruck owner had a problem no one could solve – not even Tesla – and so he ended up fixing it with a part he got from Amazon.

When all else fails, which it clearly did on this occasion, DIY is a good option.

Or at least that’s what this Arizona-based Cybertruck owner thought.

And in the end it wasn’t a bad deal for just $13.

A $13 DIY solution from Amazon did the trick for this Cybertruck owner

Jay Larson, an Arizona-based Cybertruck owner, needed to replace the bulletproof windshield of his Tesla Cybertruck due to a factory defect.

However, after replacing the windshield, he noticed a high pitched whistling sound.

He said Tesla couldn’t help with the issue, and that’s why Larson went with a solution that in hindsight was probably the most obvious: Amazon.

Fortunately, Larson found a roll of 9MM silicone weather stripping on Amazon that perfectly fit a gap at the top of the windshield.

He maintains his Tesla Cybertruck is now whisper-quiet after the fix, even at 90MPH.

This happens all the time

DIY solutions often work.

This guy had to visit his local Tesla service center a few times before fixing the issue, which they told him was normal for a Cybertruck.

In the end he opted for a DIY solution, and it worked in the same way it did for a Porsche owner, who ended up saving even more cash.

A while back, a YouTuber bought a Panamera (above) for $5,000 and then took it to Porsche for a service.

He said they told him he’d need to spend $10,000 (!) in order to fix it.

He thought the quote was crazy and so he ended up fixing it with a kit he bought from Amazon for just $200.
