Both the Tesla Cybertruck and the Ford Raptor R are powerful pickup trucks, but one YouTube channel decided to see which vehicle really came out on top in a quarter-mile drag race.

So, in a bid to decide the ultimate winner, the cars took each other on in a show of sheer speed and power.

Once the race got underway, it was clear that one truck was about to take the top spot.

But the result may come as a surprise for lovers of a certain kind of vehicle.

This quarter-mile drag race saw a Tesla Cybertruck take on a Ford Raptor R – and it was a battle of the beasts

When it comes to testing the power of pickup trucks, there are many ways to put vehicles through difficult tasks.

From a tug of war to an incline test, the methods for testing different things vary

But one test that is favored over many is a drag race.

So, in a true battle of gas against electricity, one YouTube creator put a Tesla Cybertruck against a Ford Raptor R in a tough quarter-mile drag race.

We’re going to see if American horsepower can fight electricity,” said the guys over on the SterlingsWildWest YouTube channel.

Both trucks carry impressive engines under their hoods, and the powertrains are loved, both for different reasons.

So, it was Ford against Tesla, and there was a clear winner.

As the trucks lined up to race off, both looked like they could cross the line first, but as soon as the race commenced, there was one truck that sped off into the sunset, faster than the other.

Tesla proved that electricity ignited the win over the Ford Raptor R, in an impressive turn of events.

But, for some, it could be quite the surprise.

The Cybertruck is loved for its unique abilities

Tesla’s flagship EV pickup truck is known for its unique shape and off-roading qualities.

But the truck also has some flashy software features, such as Full-Self Driving mode, too.

In fact, many owners put their EVs to the ultimate test in extreme ways.

For example, one Tesla Cybertruck faced off against a Ford F-150 Lightning in one of the most difficult official safety tests there is.

Plus, another Tesla Cybertruck attempted California’s brutal Rubicon Trail to really put it through its paces.
