This is what happened when a 2024 Tesla Cybertruck took on a 2004 diesel military Humvee in a tug-of-war.
Usually, when people want to prove a vehicle is superior over another, they take it to a race track.
But in cases where strength is the name of the game, it’s a tug-of-war that separates the wheat from the chaff.
How would things pan out this time, with a modern EV taking on a diesel truck from a few decades back?
A Cybertruck and a Humvee go head to head – which one will come out on top?
The 2004 original 6.5L Diesel Military Humvee has been on active duty for years, providing the armed forces with the assistance they need across all terrains.
But are its best days behind it?
There’s no better way to answer that question than by putting up against the new kid on the block, so to speak.

This wasn’t the first time the Cybertruck had been pitted against another truck in a tug-of-war contest; remember what happened when it faced off against a Dodge Ram?
There’s just something in us that wants to see the Cybertruck pitted in competition, isn’t there?
Maybe it’s because they’ve been all the rage these past few years, and we’re all a little curious to see if they can get overshadowed.

YouTube channel Flying Wheels was the one who set up this particular tug-of-war.
The victor emerges in a total smackdown
The hosts were guessing that the Cybertruck would emerge victorious.
And they were totally right; it wasn’t even close.
Don’t think that was a lucky one-off either – they did a best of three and the Cybertruck won each time.

Even when giving the Humvee a five-second headstart, the Cybertruck dominated.
“That was embarrassing,” one of the hosts joked.
It’s not just Cybertrucks competing in tug-of-wars
In the age of YouTube, people want to see cars in fierce competition with each other.
And what better way of asserting dominance than a good old fashioned tug-of-war?
Whether featuring a Ford Raptor R or a Ram 3500, these make for gripping viewing.
