Recently, a movie theater parking lot in North Scottsdale, Arizona, went viral on social media, as hundreds of Tesla vehicles were parked there, filling every available spot.

This sight led many to wonder why so many Teslas were in one place.

Usually reserved for moviegoers, the parking lot became a hot topic of discussion after a user saw this unusual sight and posted about it on X.

“Just found one of those huge parking lots full of hundreds of abandoned Teslas in Scottsdale, Arizona! Holy f*** they’re real lmao,” the user posted.

Interestingly, the parking lot housed almost every model from the brand, including dozens of Cybertrucks.

Even news channels like 12 News covered the story on their YouTube channel.

The big question now was why all these EVs ended up in a place like that.

First things first, these EVs were not abandoned, as some people speculated that the electric vehicle market’s downturn might be the cause.

Others thought it might be due to unhappy Tesla customers leaving their cars there.

However, 12 News tried to explore the situation further and reached out to Tesla for an official comment, but the company did not respond.

Just a temporary storage solution for the company

The answer then came from the Tesla delivery center.

Tesla cars are purchased online and delivered to centers for pickup.

However, the delivery centers often don’t have enough space to store all the vehicles.

To solve this problem, Tesla temporarily holds the cars in alternative parking lots, like the movie theater lot in Scottsdale.

In short, the crowded parking lot was simply a temporary storage solution for Tesla vehicles. It was not a sign of any larger issue with the company or its products.
