The Tesla Model S Plaid has taken on the Audi TT RS in an electrifying drag race.
The two cars are total opposites: the Audi TT RS is sporty and agile, while the Tesla Model S Plaid is powerful and heavy.
With both drivers launching side-by-side, the race got off to an exciting start.
But an unexpected twist tipped the scales in favor of one contender.

Tesla Model S faces off against an Audi TT RS
The face-off took place at Island Dragway, where the 1,020hp Tesla took on the 394hp Audi.
The race was uploaded on YouTube by ImportRace, which previously showed a drag race between BMW M8 and a Tesla Model 3 Performance.
Now it was time for another ICE vs EV showdown with the Tesla Model S and Audi TT RS.
Both cars launched with impressive reaction times, with the Tesla driver clocking a solid 1.66 seconds.
The Audi TT RS driver reacted even faster – but too fast for their own good, hitting a red light and disqualifying themselves from the race.
While the disqualification technically handed the win to Tesla, the Tesla was still fast enough to win on its own merit.
There was one clear winner
The Tesla Model S Plaid completed the quarter-mile in just 9.79 seconds at an astonishing 143 mph, showing that EVs are serious competitors.
The Audi TT RS, despite its roaring engine and modifications, finished in 10.49 seconds at 139 mph, unable to close the gap.
Teslas have proved themselves in drag races against various high-powered vehicles.
In fact a Cybertruck took on a Porsche 911 Turbo S and won.
Meanwhile, Tesla Model S Plaid went up against a Lamborghini Revuelto, and also came out on top.
