Tesla Model X vs Lucid Gravity
The driver, who had previously owned a 2022 Tesla Model X, took to a Reddit forum to explain that the Lucid Gravity ‘feels like a proper luxury car’.
He pointed to stronger paint quality, more precise trim, and a cabin that gave passengers a more premium impression.
According to him, ‘the second row is more comfortable,’ with family members noticing the added space on longer trips.
He also noted small but practical touches, saying he now had ‘door storage again, which makes a difference’.

The automatic frunk became a highlight.
“It’s amazing, very spacious, and I actually use it,” he said, comparing it to his Model X frunk, which often went unused.
Other features he listed included an upgraded audio system, a dual-screen setup that ‘feels intuitive,’ and the option of massaging seats.
These, in his words, made the lucid gravity feel more like a traditional luxury EV built with passengers in mind.
Tesla has the edge in software
While impressed with the Gravity’s build and comfort, the driver said the Tesla Model X still outperformed on technology.
“The phone key is a big deal,” he wrote, adding that he spent time searching through Lucid’s menus before realizing the Gravity did not yet support it.
“I couldn’t believe I had to go back to a fob.”

He also credited Tesla with a stronger navigation system and a more polished interface overall.
“The software feels more complete, with more info available and easier to find.”
Streaming apps like Netflix and YouTube during charging sessions remained a feature he valued, along with Tesla’s motorized and falcon wing doors, which he described as ‘useful despite occasional issues.’

Looking at both vehicles, he summarized the trade-offs clearly: Lucid has made gains in build quality, interior space, and comfort, while Tesla maintains leadership in software and connectivity.
The comparison of tesla model x and lucid gravity showed how different approaches to the electric SUV are now giving buyers real choices.
