Tesla wants to build one million units of Optimus – the company’s humanoid robot – every year.
It sounds pretty ambitious, maybe even too ambitious.
But Elon Musk is absolutely convinced this is doable, and he believes the tech marvel will sell like hot cakes, also because of its relatively low price.
And Musk believes it will turn his company into a $25 trillion giant.

How this robot could turn Tesla into the world’s biggest company
Production of Optimus is underway and, according to Tesla, this robot will soon become a product everyday people will be integrating into their lives.
Something anyone can purchase – like a car, a smart watch or a smartphone.
Musk said Optimus is going to be priced at $20,000, which sounds a bit inexpensive for what they claim it will be.
But we’ll find out soon enough whether that’s true or not.
Also, Elon Musk firmly believes that Optimus could eventually turn his company into a $25 trillion giant.
Mainly because he’s convinced the company is potentially fully capable of producing one million units per year.

About Optimus
Optimus is a humanoid robot that’s roughly the size of a human male, even though it’s a bit lighter, considering it only weighs 57 kilograms (125 pounds).
This robot was first announced in 2021 and then unveiled as a prototype in 2022.
Just a year later, in 2023, the American automaker/tech company unveiled Generation 2, followed by Generation 3 in October 2024.

The goal is to use it to perform menial and repetitive tasks.
Tesla has already used it for several jobs at its factories.
And the company has also used it as a marketing ploy.
Among other things, we’ve seen Optimus serve popcorn at the Tesla Diner’s opening, and dance with Jared Leto at the premiere of the movie Tron: Ares which you can watch in the video at the top of the page.
