In a new video, a man shows the new Tesla Diner in Los Angeles and how its robot waiter – a Tesla Optimus robot – serves popcorn.
Optimus is a friendly guy and he not only serves up popcorn like the best attendant at a movie theater, he also interacts with customers.
The smart robot is working the popcorn stand at Tesla’s new retro-futuristic hi-tech diner that’s located on the iconic Route 66.
The Tesla Optimus robot adds a little bit of spice to the already extremely cool Tesla Diner, and it just so happens that he is very friendly and helpful.

Tesla Optimus robot serves popcorn – and looks
Tesla and its tech are taking over, with EVs all over the road, Robotaxis in Texas, and now the new retro-futuristic Tesla LA diner located on the iconic Route 66.
At the new Tesla Diner, you can get served by a Tesla Optimus robot, and in this video, you can see one that is exclusively there to serve popcorn to people visiting.
The friendly Optimus robot gives the man a fist bump as a greeting.
He doesn’t speak but he gently takes the popcorn packet to fill it up for the man.
There’s nowhere quite like the new Tesla Diner in Los Angeles
The new Tesla Diner is located on the iconic Route 66 in Los Angeles, and it has the feel of being both straight out of the 1950s as well as completely brand new.
The diner feels a little bit like if you went into a drive-in movie theater in an episode of Black Mirror, but nonetheless looks very impressive.
We don’t know how many Optimus robots work there, but the popcorn serving one certainly is very impressive and gives a little wave or a high-five when you say goodbye.
