A Texas retiree has just been given a free car for her incredible generosity behind the wheel.

Lyn Story is a retired resident of Fort Worth, Texas – and she spends her time driving neighbours in need.

Despite her own financial challenges, Lyn has become a vital source of help for her neighbours.

In recognition of her kindness, a Philadelphia car dealership has now gifted her a brand-new free car.

How this woman’s generosity led to a free car

Lyn Story is a Texas retiree who lives in the Fort Worth area, 30 minutes to the west of Dallas.

Lyn began offering rides to neighbors that she met through the neighborhood app, Nextdoor.

And even though she had an ageing car that frequently broke down, she wasn’t deterred.

She quickly became a lifeline for some of her more dependant neighbours in the area.

April Goodwin, for example, needed transportation to medical appointments.

Kevin Horrigan, who is blind, needed help getting to work three days a week.

In spite of rising gas prices, Lyn continued to selflessly help others who needed it.

Lyn’s generosity leads to even more kindness

The story of Lyn’s kindness and generosity very quickly spread across America, eventually reaching Philadelphia car dealer David Kelleher.

Kelleher owns David Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Pennsylvania.

Like Lyn, Kelleher is known for his charitable works and efforts in the local community.

And once Kelleher found out about Lyn’s story (no pun intended), he decided to help out.

Lyn was brought to a Fort Worth dealership under the premise of her car being repaired.

When she arrived, however, the true intent was revealed – Kelleher was gifting her a brand-new car.

Not only did she get a free car, but all expenses were covered, from an extended warranty to tags, and the title.

Kelleher even promised to pay for her insurance every year in order to enable Lyn’s good deeds to be continued, worry-free.

Lyn named her new car, ‘The White Knight’ – a fitting name if we say so ourselves.
