When this Texas woman was pulled over in her car by a cop, she wasn’t expecting the attending officer to be her best pal.
Being flagged down by police is never a situation any driver wants to find themselves in, as driving citations and fines can often follow.
But when it’s your best friend wearing the badge, does that change the dynamic?
Or does the long arm of the law not make exceptions?
What happened when this cop pulled over a Texas woman
For cops on the job, traffic stops are just part of the job description.
Whether it’s license or insurance checks, or vehicle inspections, it’s crucial that vehicles are driven within the limits of the law.
It doesn’t matter whether the car in question is a BMW or a Tesla Model Y Juniper, either.
But crucially, it shouldn’t matter who is sitting behind the wheel of the car.
In an ideal society, justice is blind, right?
Meaning that everyone is treated equally in the eyes of the law.
When content creator Shayna was pulled over by a cop, she realized it was her best friend wearing the badge.
Laughter aside, the interaction followed the standard protocol with traffic stops.
You know the drill: ‘Do you have any idea why I stopped you?’
Unless you’ve been pulled over yourself, you’ll likely recognize the exchange from a movie or a TV show.
It turned out that the reason behind this traffic stop was down to Shayna’s car not having a license plate on the front.

“In the great state of Texas, you have to have two plates!” Shayna’s friend said, in a thick Texan accent.
In Texas, a vehicle has to have a license plate at the front and at the rear.
This puts it in line with 31 other states that require the same thing – including states like California, New York, and New Jersey.
The 19 outliers include Florida, Indiana, New Mexico, and Michigan.
Cops can’t play favorites when it comes to enforcing the law
In the end, Shayna was issued a written warning.
It just goes to show that cops shouldn’t treat anyone with kid gloves.
Viewers couldn’t hide their amusement at the predicament Shayna had found herself in.

“You know she’s been WAITING for this day to come!” one commenter wrote.
Others shared their own experiences of knowing a cop personally.
“My cousin is a cop… and he used to pull me over EVERY single time he saw me. Just to say hi,” one Instagram user commented.
“My ex-husband (trooper) was behind me, and I didn’t realize. The man called me and asked me if I would run from him because he was bored,” another said.
It just goes to show that not all traffic stops are necessarily bad.
One driver in Italy discovered that when cops pulled him over – just because they liked the Ferrari he was driving.
