Bentley has unveiled a Black Edition version for the Bentley Continental GT, Continental GTC and Flying Spur.
With the Black Edition, all three vehicles look like they belong to a James Bond movie.
More specifically, they look like they should be driven by the Bond villain.
The price was not disclosed, but it’s probably something equally diabolical.

The Black Edition package only includes cosmetic upgrades
The first thing worth noting is that the Black Edition package includes no upgrades for the engine.
This means you still get the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with an electric unit for a combined power output of 671 horsepower.
You also get 50 miles of range in electric mode.

On the outside, the Black Edition Bentley features a set of dark Winged B badges for the front and rear, gloss black 10-spoke, 22-inch wheels, and gloss black matrix grille and bumper grilles.
In fact, the are only two things that aren’t painted black are the brake calipers and the contrast stitching for the interior, because in both cases mandarin orange was used.

The same blacked-out theme was used for the interior, with black embroidered upholstery, Piano Black veneer trim, and contrast stitching in whatever color the future owner desires.
Bentley said only 400 vehicles in total will be sold with the Black Edition package, across all three models, but the company didn’t quote a price.
For once, this is not made by Mulliner
The Bentley Batur Black Rose was built by Mulliner, like the standard Batur, the Bentayga with UV paint, and the Sapphire Bentley Bentayga.
Mulliner is the company’s in-house coachbuilder, and it’s hugely important for Bentley, mostly because it means no two Bentleys are ever the same.

In theory, you can buy a ‘stock’ Bentley but, in practice, most Bentley buyers want to customize their vehicle.
This is where Mulliner comes into the picture, and why Bentley considers it a key part of its business.
Bentley almost always relies on Mulliner for its limited-edition models but there are exceptions.
The Black Edition, for once, is an exception.
