This last true barn find will blow your mind after half a century away
Many barns across the US look unassuming, but it turns out that some are hiding amazing secret cars.
From untouched cars to passion projects in the making, some barn finds end up better than any explorer could ever imagine.
But, just wait until you see this one, which is said to be the ‘last true barn find’.
Creator gullwingmotorcars shared a 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster in an ultra-rare DB 186 Cement Gray color with 1088 red leather interior.

The car had just 37,412 miles on the clock and was left untouched apart from a 1970s Light Ivory repaint, with original parts still very much intact.
“Unknown to the Gullwing Group Roadster Registry and unseen since 1994, this 100% matching-numbers Roadster is an unrepeatable discovery,” the description stated.
“One of the very last true barn-find W198s left in existence.
“I can’t believe my own eyes that I’m looking at a car that has never been seen,” said the car enthusiast when looking at the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster.”

The car even had the original toolkit in the trunk of the car and an original spare tire that had never been on the road.
You have to admit that the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster was in amazing condition after being nestled in a dark shelter for years on end.
After seeing the car, many users were left astonished.
“Stunning. Incredible find,” said one user.
“She’s absolutely incredible, I prefer the roadster to the gullwing,” another said.
“What a treasure,” added a third car enthusiast.
Mercedes-Benz barn finds are golden treasures in the car world
When it comes to uncovering barn finds, explorers often search near and far to find expensive, well-kept cars.
But thanks to the conditions in which some are left in, sometimes a restoration is in order.
In fact, one $800 Mercedes 250S was brought back to life after it spent decades hidden away and was able to run like a dream.
Plus, another Mercedes with just 18,000 miles on the clock was found for $1200 in Michigan despite sounding far too good to be true.
