This is the biggest steam tractor in the world.

It’s called the 150 Case and it’s originally from 1905.

Now, after more than 100 years, it’s been rebuilt based on old blueprints.

You can watch it in action here!

The man behind the mammoth project is Kory Anderson.

Anderson spent 15,000 hours rebuilding it and dropped $1.5 million on materials alone.

The 150HP Case Road Locomotive was originally built in the very early 1900s by JI Case Company in Wisconsin.

It served as a heavy freighter pulling heavy loads from station to station.

Only nine were ever built over the two years it was in production and zero of them ever survived.

Instead, their parts were sold off for scrap.

Kory Anderson, who is wildly passionate about steam engines, vowed to bring the 150 Case back to life.

So, he got the blueprints and got to work reproducing every part of the old steam tractor.

It took him 16 months to build the engine alone.

Once the incredible steam tractor was rebuilt, the 150 Case weighed 37 tons and measured 25 feet long and 14 feet wide.

The engine burns both wood and coal.

And as the name suggests, it makes 150 horsepower.

Anderson first debuted the replica 150HP Case back in 2018 in South Dakota.

At its debut, the tractor pulled 24 ploughs easily.

After this, Anderson wanted to push it to its limit.

This is when he got the idea to go for a record 44 ploughs at once.

Just two years later, in 2020, Anderson gathered a team to help him make it happen.

The footage is incredible and the team successfully broke the world record for pulling the most ploughs at the one time.
