The biggest manufacturers are all working hard to create the fastest supercars in the world.

And already in 2025, there’s fierce competition among some new entrants.

The Bugatti Bolide is recording incredible top speeds, and Koenigsegg Gemera is pushing the Jesko Absolut to a new level.

But which cars are the five fastest supercars in the world?

The five official fastest supercars of 2025

There are a number of ways to judge the fastest cars in the world, including top speed, acceleration, and lap times, but today we’re highlighting the supercars that have reached the highest speeds.

F1 racecars aside, these are the supercars to have recorded the fastest speeds on the tarmac, as of 2025.

1Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+304mph
2SSC Tuatara295mph
3Koenigsegg Agera RS277mph
4Hennessey Venom GT270mph
5Bugatti Veyron Super Sport268mph

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ is widely recognized as the fastest car in the world having set this record back in August 2019, with test driver Andy Wallace at the wheel.

Top five ‘claimed’ fastest supercars 2025

The official fastest supercars list does leave off the car that claims to have achieved the highest speed yet.

The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is considered by many to be the fastest car in the world, although it has never officially peaked at its claimed top speed on the track.

There is some overlap here, but the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut takes the top spot on the fastest supercars list if we take into consideration the times recorded on the manufacturers’ supercomputer.

These are the fastest supercars in 2025 that have been recorded on all surfaces.

Funnily enough, the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport has taken on the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut in a drag race, beating it from a dead start.

With the Bolide and Gemera both set to make it onto the fastest supercar list this year, 2025 is set to be an exciting one.
