This American YouTuber is restoring a Porsche GT3 RS after it had the unfortunate experience of crashing into a tree.
After the accident, it wasn’t in the best condition, and needed more than a polish and shine to look brand new again.
But, even though visually it wasn’t in great shape, all was not lost.
Thankfully, inside, the mechanics were A-OK.

Porsche is a coveted company with a deep influence in the auto world.
It has produced many powerful models and is loved by gearheads all over the globe.
For example, the car brand even built an awesome custom 911 GT3 RS for Dua Lipa at the Monaco GP – cool, right?
Plus, a Porsche 911 embarrassed a Tesla Cybertruck in a Utah desert tow battle, talk about a turn of events.
As with any car or piece of high-tech moving machinery, sometimes things can go wrong and accidents can happen.
After a Porsche GT3 RS was involved in a collision with a tree, one man had a mission to rebuild it and make it brand new.
YouTuber Devin Niemela took on the 2024 Porsche 992 GT3 RS challenge with a whole lot of hope.
Upon first glance at the car, it looked badly wrecked, but it actually wasn’t all bad news.

In fact, the car’s mechanics were running, but the outside and airbags needed some serious work to look ship-shape again.
So, the YouTuber got to work taking parts off and fixing what he could to make it run perfectly again.
“Thankfully, it runs, everything is good mechanically,” he explained.

It had two issues structurally that needed sorting, including a rocker and the mounting point for the lower control arm, with the broken piece being part of the front tub.
So to save money, he attempted to repair the front tub instead of replacing it.

There was also a host of paintwork that needed to be undertaken to restore it to its post-crash condition, which needed priming.
After managing to sort external help to fix the dash with shipping for $1,500-$1,600, the first day’s work on the wrecked Porsche was complete, thanks to his hard graft.
He also pulled out the seatbelts and the airbag modules to be shipped out.
But what will he tackle next?
