Toyota vehicles are built different – world-renowned for their reliability and durability – and this Toyota Tacoma proves that once and for all, as it has driven an astounding 1,625,000 miles.

This incredible endurance and staying power has made the highest-mileage truck in the world.

Highest mileage truck owned by Mike Neal

Mike Neal was the proud owner of Toyota Takoma, who brought this car in November 2007 and managed to drive it more than 1.5 million miles before passing away in 2023.

To put it into perspective, this achievement is equivalent to two round trips to the moon.

Toyota vehicles are seriously impressive, and Mike Neal’s car is not the only one to prove that.

There have been other similar instances too, like Graeme Hebley’s Toyota Corolla that hit 2,000,000 kilometers.

Mike was quite fascinated with how far he could drive his beloved car.

Thus, he began marking his mileage progress on the tailgate, starting at 670,000 miles and adding a new sticker every 10,000 miles until he finally parked it for the last time.

After maxing out the odometer, he even used trip meters and a logbook to ensure accuracy.

Mike Neal’s Toyota Tacoma is not forgotten

Without his dedication to tracking the vehicle’s performance, we would never have known how far the Toyota Tacoma had driven in total.

Toyota ensured that the incredible story of Mike and his car was not forgotten, and Mike’s Tacoma currently resides at the dealership from which he bought it long ago.

Car companies, including Toyota, even reward their loyal customers with certificates and service discounts for their trust in the brand.

Mike’s story is really inspiring, similar to that of Liam Young, who drove his Toyota Land Cruiser for 16 years, accumulating 410,000 miles.
