Texas man turns tiny toy car into mini race car that actually drives

This guy in Texas turned a tiny toy car into a mini race car that actually works.

Getting the tiny toy car was the easy part, and also the cheap part because it was free.

Turning it into a working mini car was a bit more challenging.

And you’ll be surprised to learn what he used to power the car.

The idea behind this mini race car

A YouTuber who goes by Corey Funk decided to turn a tiny toy car into an actual moving vehicle you can use on the road.

His idea was to convert this tiny toy car into a mini race car.

He had a few different ideas for the engine, but he ended up resorting to a repurposed 1,100-watt powertrain out of a Crazy Cart XL, a small cart, which he fitted under the body of the toy car.

The whole build was not that expensive, considering the toy car was free from Facebook Marketplace in Texas, and the kart was not that expensive.

The car works a treat, and it looks nice as well, kind of halfway between a Range Rover and a Cadillac Escalade.

When DIY goes well

Some people just can’t help it when the DIY ‘gene’ takes over.

We’ve seen all kinds of modified supercars and luxury cars, usually with mixed results ranging from excellent to debatable or just plain terrible.

From ‘official’ mods from renowned brands such as Liberty Walk to the 6×6 Rolls-Royce made from wood or DIY Lamborghini Terzo Millennio, it’s clear that everything is possible when people have talent and ideas.

And this race car isn’t too bad, either.
