Toyota has officially just built a ‘street legal’ rally car.
And it even comes equipped with its own gravel driving mode.
But you’d better be fast if you want to get your hands on one.
Because only 200 units are being produced.

The latest Toyota offering might be the best one yet
Toyota has been going crazy with its latest launches.
December 2025 saw the reveal of the incredibly exciting GR GT, a V8-powered supercar that’s set to compete with the world’s finest.
Then, earlier this week, the Japanese giants threw the covers off the TR010.
That is, of course, the prototype hypercar that will compete in the World Endurance Championship (WEC).
And now, Toyota might have just one-upped itself – again.

This time, it is the Toyota Yaris playing the starring role.
The Japanese giants have taken full advantage of the Tokyo Auto Salon event by revealing an ultra-hardcore version of the Yaris.
Dubbed the GR Yaris Morizo RR, the car in question is officially – for now, anyway – just a prototype.
But the brand is set to launch an extremely limited run of production models.
The most hardcore Yaris yet
So what does this ‘street legal’ rally car look like under the hood?
It retains the same 1.6-liter, turbocharged three-cylinder engine.
So expect a similar output sitting at around the 300hp mark.
But what else makes this upcoming run stand out so much?
Well, to put it simply – pretty much everything.
For one thing, Toyota has fitted a large carbon fiber rear wing, a new front splitter, and custom side skirts.

Accompanying those changes are unique bronze wheels, yellow brake calipers, and a lightweight carbon fiber hood.
The hardcore Yaris also gets a very unique color, dubbed Gravel Khaki.
But wait – there’s more!
Because of the extra downforce provided by that new rear wing, changes had to be made.
As a result, Toyota optimized the suspension – making it even more brilliant across uneven surfaces.
And a new Morizo mode offers a 50:50 front-to-rear power split.
In order to compensate, the electronic power steering has also been tweaked.
Limited run really does mean limited
Unfortunately, it’s not all good news.
Remember when we said that this was going to be an extremely limited run?
Well, that wasn’t an exaggeration.
Toyota will cap Japanese production of the GR Yaris Morizo RR at just 100 units.

European markets will also receive just 100 units of this street-legal rally offering.
And the less-good news doesn’t end there, as the Japanese units will only be available through a special lottery, conducted through Gazoo’s smartphone app in Japan.
Trust us when we say that we are extremely excited to see this car when it hits the street.
