Toyota is going big for 2026
Toyota is seriously coming to compete with its newest bZ electric SUV in 2026.
It’s replacing the 4X, the brand’s first attempt at an electric SUV.
And the Japanese marque has upgraded it in almost every way imaginable.
Like the newest Crown and Camry models, the latest bZ features the ‘hammerhead front end design.’
This new design features a prominent LED bar across the front of the car.

Inside, the brand-new electric SUV gets some serious upgrades for next year.
For one thing, buyers can look forward to a redesigned display console and a larger, 14″ display touchscreen.
One will also find two wireless phone chargers and a much-improved dashboard design.
You might have also noticed that it’s dropping the “4X” from the model name for 2026.
Well, there is a very good reason for that – because Toyota wants to simplify the branding for buyers.
Toyota bZ electric SUV actually cheaper for next year
But the most important, headline-worthy news for the bZ electric SUV is the price.
With all of these 2026-focused upgrades, you’d naturally assume an increase in price, right?
Well, Toyota has actually taken the opposite approach – and reduced it by over $2,000.
Prices for the new bZ electric SUV will start at $34,900; that’s $2,170 less than the outgoing model.
That $34,900 price will get you the base model, XLE FWD trim with a 57.7kWh battery.
This trim provides up to 236 miles of range on a full battery charge.

Upgrading to the range-extending bZ XLE FWD will cost you an extra $3,000 at $37,900.
What that buys you, however, is a larger, 74.7kWh battery that provides up to 314 miles of range.
That represents a 25 percent improvement in range over the current 2025 model.
If all-wheel drive (AWD) takes your fancy, then there are options for that as well.
Prices start at $39,900, but AWD models now provide up to 388bhp – 50 percent more than this outgoing model.
Is the new, 2026 Toyota bZ electric SUV a vehicle that would appeal to you?
