Toyota Century has taken the spotlight in a car teaser campaign that is counting down to October 13.
The company has been releasing short daily posts online since September 19, each one hinting at a project that remains tightly under wraps.
Dealers have not been given any details, meaning even customers who ask about it will not get answers.
The secrecy and repeated references to the Century badge have made this Toyota car teaser one of the most closely followed stories in the industry.

What’s behind the Toyota teaser
The car teaser began with vague daily statements that quickly drew attention.
Some of them reference the Toyota Century, with one update describing how chairman Akio Toyoda approved a change in emblem placement on promotional material.
In the revised version, the Century badge was given a more prominent position, sparking speculation about its role in the reveal.

Toyota Century has been part of the company’s lineup since 1967.
The model has served as a chauffeur-driven sedan and continues to be produced in small numbers.
The current generation uses a hybrid V8, while a Century SUV was added in 2023, limited to about 50 units a month.

Both versions are rare and tightly linked to Toyota’s most exclusive offerings, which is why the focus on the Century badge in the car teaser has stood out.
There has also been development for hydrogen and hybrid systems across its range.
Some analysts suggest that a new version of the Toyota Century could be used to showcase these technologies.
That would explain why the Century is a recurring theme in the campaign, connecting a long-running model with ongoing powertrain development.
Woven city connection
Another part of the car teaser has pointed toward Woven City, the experimental site in Susono City, Japan.
Built as a testing ground for new technologies, Woven City hosts projects in areas like hydrogen infrastructure, robotics, and autonomous driving.
Phase one opened in late September, and several Toyota subsidiaries are now active there.
The mention of Woven City suggests the October 13 reveal may involve more than a model update.

It could be tied to broader work on mobility and future technology.
A concept linked to Woven City would connect the car teaser to research that goes beyond the showroom while still keeping the Century badge in focus.
With the Toyota Century emblem appearing repeatedly and Woven City referenced directly, the October 13 event is expected to confirm how these elements fit together.
On that date, the company’s plans will finally be revealed.
