After finding a cheap Toyota Corolla on Facebook Marketplace, this American car-flipping expert explains how he made a huge profit.
The Toyota Corolla is by no means the flashiest car in the world.
Nor the most expensive.
But one man doubled his money and more in two days by flipping this Facebook Marketplace Corolla – and it’s easier than it looks.

American man makes double his money flipping a Toyota Corolla
Flipping cars is half art, half luck.
It’s a bit like poker – sometimes the smallest hands can have the biggest turnovers.
Previous restorations have seen people go all in when the chips are down to recoup fantastic profits, while others have been left with nothing but their clutch in their hands.
This expert appears to have mastered the art though, as he made double his money on this 2000 Toyota Corolla.

The notoriously affordable car was bought for cheap on the second-hand site after it was found to be in a crash, with visible damages to the front end.
Specifically, the front bumper and left headlamp were busted and there was a slight bend in the hood.
But YouTuber Flipping Cars 4 Fun found it easy enough to get replacement parts.
The only hitch on this flip was the frame, which had been misaligned when the contact of the crash occurred, which took some expert machinery to set straight.
Aside from that, it was plain sailing on the detailing front, spraying the new parts to be perfectly black while thrusting an elbow into the interior with a Hoover and wet vac.
A good thorough clean and the Toyota was good and ready to hit the shop floor.
The man revealed that the eye for detail in the cleaning process is a key feature for flipping cars, making them look appealing.
Extra care was poured into the spray paint, with two close coats for good measure.
The figures

The American man revealed that he spent a total of $2,339 on the Toyota Corolla, the new parts, and the detail.
He sold it for $6,000.
That’s an impressive $3,664 profit, more than double his money.
Facebook Marketplace appears to be a bit of a gold mine for flipping cars, as one man converted a $275 1999 Cadillac DeVille Golden Anniversary Edition and was in line to make a huge profit before something spectacular happened.
