There are exciting things happening at Toyota, with the carmaker releasing first-look images of its GR GT supercar alongside its super-sleek Lexus counterpart.
Late last month, Toyota confirmed that the eagerly anticipated GR GT was on the way.
But not content with releasing just one new car, Toyota has now shared a teaser image showing three ‘all-new sports models’.
Alongside the production GR GT, there’s a Lexus sports coupe, and a track-only beast.

Toyota has teased a trio of ‘all-new’ sports cars including the GR GT
This story actually begins three years ago at the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon, when Toyota unveiled its GR GT3 concept.
The concept generated enough buzz that rumors about a production version have been swirling for some time.

Then, just last week, Toyota confirmed that the GR GT would be getting a production version and that it would be released under its Gazoo Racing division.
And before the dust had even settled on that news, Toyota has now revealed a Lexus-branded counterpart, as well as a third track-only vehicle.
The teaser images give little away, but the silhouette suggests it could be a production version of the Lexus Sport Concept that was unveiled at Monterey Car Week in August, and a fitting successor for the LFA.
For now, details on the cars have been kept strictly under wraps.
But it’s been reported that the GR GT and the Lexus will both run on the same newly-developed 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 engine, and that there could be some electrification as well, for good measure.
Meanwhile, the third car in the lineup is even more mysterious, but it does seem to be sporting some track tires and a roll cage, which would indicate it’s a race car, as opposed to a road-going vehicle.
The three new cars are set to debut very soon
Toyota is set to officially premiere the trio of cars during an event in Japan on Friday, December 5, at 11:00 am, meaning it’ll be sometime in the evening for folks in the US.

The event, which will be live streamed, will be hosted by Toyota President Akio Toyoda and Chief Branding Officer Simon Humphries.
And it won’t just give us all our first proper look at the cars, but also those all-important specs.
We can’t wait.
