A motorist in Florida bought this 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter new, put just 758 miles on the clock and then sold it for a whole lot less.

Toyota introduced the Tacoma pickup back in 1995.

For its fourth generation, the Trailhunter trim was added to the line-up and is the halo model of the Tacoma.

Late last month, this 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter Double Cab i-Force Max 4×4 sold for a lot less than you might think.

Alongside tech, cars and trucks are one of the fastest depreciating purchases most folks will make.

Even cars that are just a few weeks old can see their value drop considerably, just take a look at this Toyota GR Corolla that was driven for just one month before it was sold for a lot less.

Recently, the owner of this 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter found that out for himself.

He bought the truck brand new in Miami last year for $68,042 and it comes with all the bells and whistles.

It is finished in Celestial Silver, and features a smart-looking bronze grille, ARB rear bumper and sports bar, power tailgate, and roof rack.

It sits on 18 inch wheels which come with a bronze finish to match the grille, and are wrapped in 265/70 Goodyear Wrangler Territory RT tires.

Inside, you’ll find Mineral SofTex upholstery with orange piping, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front bucket seats and rear bench, a 14-inch infotainment system, a JBL sound system, a portable JBL Bluetooth speaker, and a heated steering wheel.

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter has a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.4-liter inline-four system and a 48-horsepower electric motor paired with a eight-speed automatic transmission that creates a total output of 323 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.

Why did the seller part with the truck so soon?

While the average US motorist will keep their car for about 12 years, the owner of this 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter sold up in just 12 months.

In a comment on the original Bring A Trailer listing, he explained that he had bought a property in Colorado but that he didn’t live there full-time.

As such, the Tacoma wasn’t getting used as much as he had hoped and with ‘limited space’ in the garage, he decided to get something with more seating capacity to suit his family’s needs.

“Really like the truck, quite frankly, but it’s just not the right vehicle for my property there,” he added.

In the end, it sold for $56,751 – less than $11,000 what he had originally paid.
